Welcome to the EDUCARE Community
by Sharyn Fein, Executive Director
Welcome to the first edition of the Ed-U-CARE, Inc.’s. Newsletter. As the Executive Director of our non-profit, it is a dream come true for me to be able to formally share our mission, past presentations, current opportunities to volunteer, and our future plans heading into 2019 with those reading online.
All of this could not be possible without a formal introduction to our new Administrator Emily Denton. Emily joined our team on the heels of our very first Tarrant County Symposium on September 28, 2019, and has done so with great passion and professionalism. Emily is young, energetic, and bright, and brings many talents in digital marketing that we were searching for. Not to mention her sweet disposition and caring heart. She’s a perfect new member of our team.
Ed-U-CARE, Inc. is growing by leaps and bounds. We are in our 5th year of attaining our 501c3 Status and have wasted no time in growth and development.
Ed-U-CARE provides a compassion driven, whole-health network for caregivers. Through education and training, we increase caring and supply caregivers with the tools to heal themselves, so they can care more compassionately for others.
We have done a great job of delivering our mission to date, now with two annual Compassion Fatigue Symposiums in Dallas and Tarrant County. We continue offering quarterly training programs in Dallas, educating professionals and lay people about the growing needs of our aging LGBT population, and teaching the cultural competencies we are lacking to offer kind and compassionate care. We have also published our very own training program which is affordable, professional and user-friendly.
We are continuously growing our board, adding people who believe that what we offer is for the good of those who are caring for our older adult population. The We Care You Care statement is all that and more.
We hope you enjoy our monthly newsletter. It will bring you updates on what’s ahead, current events as it relates to our mission, and articles from our board and community supporters.
Thank you for your support and feel free to stay in touch.
