Director Spotlight – Mike Grossman, Chairman of the Board
I was introduced to Sharyn and Ed-U-CARE by Vivienne Armstrong and Louise Young in 2013. During that time, I became involved in the organization and eventually came to serve on the board of directors. Since May of 2016, I’ve served as Chairman of the Board.
Since moving to Dallas in 1970, I have been involved in many organizations throughout the community. This ranges from acting as a founding board member of Oak Lawn Counseling center, to serving on the board of the Human Rights Campaign and the Black Tie Dinner Committee, and more recently becoming a founding member of The Dallas Way, an LGBT History Project. Now that I am semi-retired, I’m happy to be able to support Ed-U-CARE in its goal to educate caregivers and community members on the issues aging LGBT people face.
